150 miles

That little yellow line in there represents the distance we saw yesterday from where we were. Pretty far.

Where my lasers at?

I not so much managed to write yesterday. I blame our friend Bam who FORCED me to the bars at an early time. We were extremely busy with beverages yesterday. I had no clue it would end up as so. Luckily this morning was not bad. Things could have been MUCH worse. My morning plans went on with out a hitch. They included going shooting with Christopher out in the sticks. We just shot some rifles. Then we shot some pictures. It was a beautiful day out today. It reached the 60s and there were hardly any clouds in the sky. I’ll try to get some pictures up soon.

Ooookay. I’m busy with things right now. I’ll be back on here hopefully not too late.

Hydraulic Theory

Tonight I plan on learning extensively about hydraulic theory and other really interesting topics in the Irrigation class I’m taking. Anyone want to join? Yeah, I didn’t think so, but I thought I’d extend the invite. This class is for me to further expand my knowledge of the landscaping field. Irrigation along with construction are the last fields I have yet to venture into. I’m not sure I’ll ever really get heavily involved in the irrigation or the construction part, but it’s good to know this stuff. I think. I hope.

After the class I’ll be darting down to McMenny’s for Michael Clayton with TA. The reviews I’ve heard have been good, but reviews from friends usually don’t mean shit to me. I know a lot of people with terrible movie tastes. But the academy says it’s alright, so I’ll go.

Ok I should really get going to this class. Maybe I’ll learn why pumice floats in water like in this picture. Actually I already know, but it doesn’t hurt to review. TTYL

We all have someone that digs at us

You ever have one of those days where everything is just a little bit against the grain? Enough to make you uncomfortable, a little bit irritable and blaming everyone else? Yeah, I’m having one of those days, for no particular reason. Plus, I can’t stop listening to this song……. It’s Incubus – Dig
And I’ve been semi productive today even. Finished my notes for my pesticide exam. Now to learn the information. I’m close to finishing this little side project of mine which I’m sharing with Matthew. I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it. If I haven’t, I’ll wait till it’s official.

The rest of my evening will be left to Silver Moon and going to sleep with my cat. My cat who will be locked in my room after she spent all of last night doing laps between the kitchen, living room and my bed. Not conducive to Colleen sleeping. Peace out friends….

James Mcavoy is a mega hottie

Tera and I are watching the Oscars right now. James Mcavoy just came on and we decided that he is an official hottie. It didn’t take much screen time tonight to confirm it. We saw him in Atonement together a few weeks ago and both of us independently decided that we kind of liked him at that moment. So yeah. That’s another issue no longer in debate.

I’m officially back in Bend. It’s nice to be back although I took a nice souvenir in the form of a cold from my bro. Thanks Rob. But I had a great time on my trip. I think I may want to move to NYC at some point down the road. I talked about it with Piccadilly and she said she wants to be a city cat. She just gives off the vibe of city cat FOR SURE.

So this week I’ll be doing a lot of really cool stuff. Going to try REALLY hard to study for my pesticide license so I can rake in more moolah. Those sweet classes I took last week were so cool and I learned a ton, which I think well help me secure the license.

Well, I am going to watch these awards. Enjoy that hottie shot of James. Peace.

A note

If you check out that Radio Lab website you’ll get to see a picture of my bro Rob and I looking rather stern. Right side, 2nd row. The host guy told us to put on that face. I did not choose to do that. You’ll have to scroll down a little bit to see us, but we’re there in the audience at the Angelika theatre.

Snowy morning

I’m about to go out into the wilds of Brooklyn here in a few minutes, but I wanted to post a picture of the snow before I left. We woke up to about 3 1/2″ of snow on the ground. Apparently this is the most snow NYC has seen since 2006. When I was here 3 years ago, there was a blizzard. I guess I bring the snow to NYC. So I’m heading out to Prospect Park in Brooklyn to take some pretty snow shots. From there I’ll probably head into Manhattan and check out Central Park if Katherine doesn’t call me before that.

Have a super day, kids.

The road too far

Today was excellent. I did a nice tour of Willliamsburg in Brooklyn and also Manhattan….all on foot. I walked for about 6 hours today. Not too bad for a day of tourism. My goal was to just hang out in the Soho area today, but I misread my map. I walked over the Williamsburg bridge and thought I needed to go quite a few streets south, but in actuality I was almost in Soho when I got into Manhattan. It didn’t occur to me that I had walked way too far south until I hit the World Trade Center area. And by that time, the wind and cold weather had gotten the best of me. I caved and got a Starbuck’s coffee and relaxed for a bit at the World Financial Center. When I went to get the change out of my wallet for the coffee I could barely bend my fingers or feel my face, but I forced them so the coffee guy wouldn’t think I was a complete retard. After that I walked through Tribeca and then to Soho. It was a good full day of walking, capped by some Radiolab fun with Rob at the Angelika Film Center. If you don’t know about Radiolab, it’s a show on NPR. They were premiering their new season for a lucky audience. It was cool to hear the show and then see the hosts there talking about it all. If you get a chance, check it. This episode was about laughter.
I went shopping while I was out too. I got some new jeans at Uniqlo and a rad new jacket at Brooklyn Industries. I’ll basically be a brand new person by the time I get back to Bend with my new gear. I should probably stop buying things as I will have no room in my bag. Space is at a premium.

Ok, I’m going to bed. My eyelids are beginning to droop. Must be the insane walking in pretty cold weather that’s kicking my ass right now. Peace out homies.

Back in the burg

After a pretty fun night in CT, I’m having a much calmer night here back in Brooklyn. I got back in to NYC around 2 today and have pretty much nothing. Roberto has been illing so all our plans were cancelled. A big bummer, but we’re going to hit it hard tomorrow.

It’s been a lot of traveling every day since Friday, but I will be staying put here in Williamsburg until Saturday. Yey for that. I’ll be going home on Saturday and passing out pretty hard core.

Well, we’re participating in some project runway watching here, so I need to get going. The picture is a little creek Amandar, Ali and I hiked along for a while on Monday. Very pretty. Peace.
