I think it’s the fault of the Olympics for the way I’ve been feeling recently. I start getting crazy ideas that I can do anything and not settle for anything less than the best. And super in love with life. A change from a month or two ago. I’m finally in full appreciation of where I am in life and what I’ve done. There’s a lot more I want to do in life, in the future. But for now I’m going to fully appreciate living in the present because it is so good. Ahhh clarity…
And did I mention today is my first day off in like 4 months? That helps. I have the whole week off and it’s jam packed with events. Most of these events involve beer and the Olympics. This afternoon I get to once again see the USA compete in the olympics. I saw them win the bronze medal in Women’s Team Epee. This time it’s in the Sychronized Swimming Duets final. I don’t think they are expected to medal but I’ll cheer them on with my giant USA eagle flag and usa glasses and usa shirt. This will be my first time to the Olympic park as well, which I’ve heard good things about as far as the landscaping is concerned. And I’m kind of into landscaping stuff if you didn’t know.
The game plan to get to the Olympic park involves cycling today. I’ve enjoyed some long cycle rides the last few weeks. It’s great to be back on two wheels after a bit of a hiatus. I’m feeling a lot more fit because of it as well. And being fit will make me feel much better about being in a bikini in 6 weeks times on the sandy shores of southern Spain.
Thursday I’m headed to Kensington Olympia to take part in one of the biggest beer fests in the world, the Great British Beer Fest. Lots of my beer drinking buddies will be there with me. Looking forward to the debauchery.
Everything is good here. Times, they are a changin’. I was worried about getting to the Olympics of 2012 and feeling a let down as I had nothing planned for post-Olympics 2012. But this last week and a half has shown me that it’s going to be alright. Just going to start a new and different type of chapter. I can’t wait for it. It’s nice to have a bit of positivity for the rest of the year.
Ok kids. I think it’s time for some breakfast and Olympics watching before I go to the Olympic park. Ttfn.
